Here is a fun project I have been working on. I came a cross some scraps of americana fabric the other day. As I stared at it in my hands...as if they were going to speak to me...it hit me that I had a tree upstairs that had nothing on it but lights which probably hadn't been turned on since Easter. It's one that I usually decorate for holidays.

I dug out my fabric scissors, started cutting pieces, pulled loose threads and stiffened the fabric to add a wave appearance. These are what came of the project. What I like most about how these turned out is that they carry a worn-rustic look, totally me, and each has its own individual look and they add all the character I was looking for to my little tree. I proudly stand next to a cute lit tree again.
