Happy early Halloween! Today we are making caramel apples and cutout cookies. I have my holiday slippers on, treats are packaged and ready for delivery and we are anxiously awaiting halloween daybreak for the fun to begin. Honestly, I am not usually into the whole Halloween thing but this year it has really grabbed me with two gouly hands. The kids even convinced me to dress up this year, a first for me in YEARS! LOL They are getting older so Halloween doesn't have to be all cutesy and kid friendly. They want the blood and guts. It's been a lot of fun watching their creative minds at work this year.
I have lots of things up my sleeve for them come tomorrow. Funny how spiders can whip up webs that cover doorways in just a matter of a few sleeping hours! Booohaaaaa!!! We have a full line of Halloween foods scheduled too.
Breakfast: pumpkin and bat pancakes covered in sticky zombie spit(syrup ;) )
Lunch: soup with floating eyeballs, and grilled cheese sand-witches
Supper: mummy dogs, sloppy goblins (hotdogs and sloppy joes), worm infested fruit salad, mashed potato ghosts, lime coolers with blood drippings, and boo bites.
Hot cocoa with floating eyeballs will be served after a very chilly trick or treating.
What do you have planned for this years Halloween fun!?!?!
Don't forget Day Light Savings this weekend. Who couldn't use an extra hour of sleep. Sounds good to me.
